Umbria - CASAMBIENTE SUSTAINABLE HOUSE!
Mission Statement: "Sustainable houses in Umbria - Italian design and German Technology "
Casambiente srl has started to develop a unique and fresh approach to house-building in the region. From 2008, the company is combining Italy's famous design with German innovative technology to create the sustainable house, the first of its kind in this region.
For many potential property investors, this relatively new concept offers the opportunity to own a home in Italy that is both energy- and cost-efficient while maintaining an architecturally pleasing and, above all, Italian design.
While this type of building has, for a number of years, been considered standard in the Scandinavian countries and Germany, in Italy the concept is relatively new.
Sustainable houses are buildings which assure a comfortable indoor climate in summer and in winter without needing a conventional heating system.
The main emphasis of these low-energy homes is energy-efficiency. High levels of insulation in conjunction with ventilation heat-recovery systems and triple glazed low-emission-argon filled glass are important factors. These standard houses use only small amounts of energy for heating, while an ultra-low energy house requires no space-heating. Essentially, ultra-low energy houses need about 80% less heating energy than standard new buildings where the building’s annual demand for space heating does not exceed 15 kWh/(m²a).
It is a well-known fact that home owners are constantly faced with increasing costs, but sustainable houses can eliminate the highest, notably those associated with heating, and can add benefits such as complete self-sufficiency, no humidity, more effective ventilation throughout offering fresher air and, as a result, much healthier living, especially for asthma or allergy sufferers. Best of all is the fact that sustainable houses cost no more to build than standard houses.
Buyers seeking to purchase a low-energy house from Casambiente can benefit from the company's decade-long experience in the central Italian region, encompassing Umbria, Tuscany, Lazio and Le Marche. By teaming together with world-leading German experts in this field, the estate agency is able to recreate the much sought-after Italian "rustic" stone house with the benefit of high-tech German-specified interiors.
Our international co-ordination with the Italian market and the German construction team means that the house buyer can rely on a smooth operation and has only us as a point of contact. The house is built to every last specification in Germany before it is transported to Italy, roughly six months after the approval of the building project.
A sustainable house can be built in every style.
