From the house it is a five minutes walk to the main piazza and twenty minutes to the historic Basilica of S Francis. It is within reach of twice hourly busses to the railway station thence main line connections to Rome and Florence by fast inexpensive trains
Assisi does not need any further presentation, the only thing worth to add might be that it is situated at only 15 km from Perugia’s airport with regular flights to London Stansted and Brussels south.
Of course it is also ideally situated to reach some of the other sought-after Umbrian sites such as Spoleto, Montefalco, Perugia, Spello, Bevagna …
